And Bao kept asking me "my serve right?" I said no, Netherlands wonthe point, or at least I marked it down as they did. But I honestly couldn't recall how the rally ended. Neither did my service judge. Netherlands claimed they won the point. So I let it stand and the Chinese coaches were yelling No, 6-7. So once the match ended, no one remembered what happened. I just talk to one of the match control people and he says he remembers the Chinese didn't make it over the net. The 1st game ended 21-19. Bao made a lot of mistakes at the net.

I think it may leave a scar or a bruise for a while
    haha, interesting thanks

sigh Misbun Ramdan still has a long way to go. He lost to the more experienced Wong Wing Ki.
Not to be underestimated at all... I predict that Misbun will be in the top 20 by next year.

Yeah, surprising indeed. Bao YX should focus to WD match after her XD losing here...

Thanks for your info I guess this is the first time Bao YX paired up with Chai B, CMIIW.

Nice to know we have a BCer who is a qualified judge and placed in charge of such an important international tournament.

I didn't have a chance yet to watch the event on TV but may I congratulate you for a job well done. Do keep up the good work!

I think it's sidek strategy to take ramdan to overseas competition to get him out of lilimelight the pressure of being a sidek is unbearable in malaysia

Top-seeded of MS & WS in this tourney are already lost to Wong Wing Ki and the unseeded Yuka Kusunose respectively.

    FINALS : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sp...048&d=20130713

CHN has secured WD title, Bao YX/Zhong QX has bright chance to pick first title in this year. The most suprising finalist is Japanese WS Yuka Kusunose who defeated Nichaon Jindapon in last four.

Yes, I umpired the semis between Yuka and Nichaon. I totally thought Nichaon had it in the bag especially coming out 21-13 1st game. The Japanese deputy referee says Yuka is not on the national team

Re: Kusunose - you gotta love an underdog! :-)
But I will be cheering for Sapsiree. Just love her occasional bursts of unorthodoxy.

Really wonderful to have an umpire in BCer's list. I am really eager to watch one of the matches which you umpired. Hopefully, looking forward to the match in the near future for live streaming.

And regarding the japanese WS players : Japan is keep on producing many talented WS players every now and then. They will arrive and give an upset by beating seeded players and give you a shock. And even before the scar disappears, you can find one more talent arising from the machine.

    The list moves on...

    1) Minatsu mitani
    2) Nozomi
    3) Yui hashimato
    4) yuka kusunose

    and many more..
