    Dear all,

I am right handed and recently my shoes are worn out due to dragging my left foot during lunges to the net on the right hand side. Anyone face similar issue? Is it that my footwork is wrong? Any way to mend it?

My experienced friend told me it is common too but any ways to repair it? Let the cobbler patch a black rubber there? This shoes is just few months old. I hope to wear it for 2 years... Hah

Two years? At least you don't have to change every six months.

Had it for 7 months now. Plays 6 - 8 hours a week, singles and doubles. Most of the friction on the side happened in my singles game as I need to lunge more.

^ Yeah, that's a lot of usage. So the wear looks about right for your shoe.
    Especially the dragged part.

Need to add.. if you manage to find any shoe outsole adhesives, it would be better. (Picture attached is just an example) Shoegoo2(2).jpg

I also only wears them solely on court only and the damage is all done on court.

Very common, your trailing foot drags when you perform lunge movements. When it gets worn it's best to replace than repair, because your shoe is no longer giving you the proper support and will result in fatigue and in some serious cases injuries.

My shoes tear and wear about in 3-6 months depending on how much I play during that time frame.

Two years? That's ambitious! Since it wears out in that area, be satisfied that your footwork looks OK:)

It is common for badminton shoes to be replaced because of this problem. And the only reason i change shoes is only because of this problem though. That is why when I buy badminton shoe, i try to check out the front part of the left shoe. The harder it is, the more durable it is and of course when u wear the shoe your leg must feel comfortable, just my theory though:D
