Bought this Yonex ArcSaber Z-Slash and I wonder if you can identify if it is original or not. I'm from Brazil and here this racket is not sold, then bought them from someone who says he has a friend in Japan who brings it. In the photos, I'm comparing it to the Nanoray 80 what i have.
1. a friend in Japan who brings it, but it is CH code. 2. shaft and cone code fonts are too big. 3. any way cone code also is wrong, did it made on 16th day of the month 80th? 168000CH.. still have other things if u can spot on
The 'Z' in 'Z-Slash' is silver in color, it suppose to be metallic-shine.. anyway, the codes are suffice enough to show that it is fake..
Even the "red" looks more purple/pink than red and the golden hologram sticker is clearly fake aside from the obviously incorrect serial number font and number combo itself. So quite fake (move topic to correct section?) ...
Oh-oh.. i think my Z-Slash (SP-coded) is authentic, but your post makes my heart a bit shaken, because it had the same golden hologram sticker.. How about it? Is it ok? Legit?
According to the Yonex counterfeit spotting guide on their own website, the real hologram stickers are damn near impossible to pull off. If you try picking at the corners of the hologram stickers and they start coming off, it's not a good sign.
Yours is okay, it is hard to describe if you don't see them side-by-side but the genuine one is a bit see-through (as you can see on yours the PBSI logo is coming through the hologram sticker) and also the size is often a bit different. The fake one looks a bit smaller usually ... And usually people say to look at the colour of the buttcap but when we post pictures on the internet even the colour of a genuine one can be off due to the camera; it is more useful in real life ...
I even check my nephew's Yonex B-500 which was bought 2 years ago at an authorized dealer, it had a rectangular Yonex hologram.. it seems that Yonex keeps updating its authentication system all the time.. thank you to yuki, demolidor and leo11..
The rectangular is the Sunrise hologram, not the Yonex oval one I meant . Of course on the new produced models we have the rainbow hologram nowadays.
Hi, its not fake. Yonex made in 3 different countries, Japan, China & Taiwan, and yours definitely not from Japan, thats all.
The hologram sticker went trough a change last year I believe. The Vt-ZF has a more transparent type sticker and the older Vt-80 had the goldish looking ones.
