I would like to share with you this miracle cure that I just bought yesterday noon.
    Thera-Band Flexbar

I used this about 6 times and I don't have any more elbow pain and shoulder pain almost gone.

Was injured in the knee for 4 months and did not play any badminton but the damn elbow and shoulder pain did not get better at all. However 2 days with the Flexbar and the pain is gone. I did the exercises about 5 minutes 3 times daily and the usual tennis elbow stretching after that.

If someone told me this I would not believe it myself. However anyone having this injury please try it. It was only RM 117 for the blue color (about US 36).

The blue color is the toughest to bend and twist. I almost could not twist it but after 2 days it is a lot easier. I would recommend the green color for most people. Don't waste your money on any other color.

I only bought the blue because it the was only color they got and everything else out of stock. I don't sell this stuff or have any interest in the company below.

In Malaysia you can try the following address. They are the only one selling in MY. Please note that they are out of stock and it would take about 3 weeks plus to order from Singapore.

    Lifeline Innovators Sdn. Bhd.

Guess the most important advice is as above.

One can have the best tool. Nothing works if it is not used.

Correct. I stopped using it for 2 weeks now since the pain was gone. However after my last session with heavy smashing, the pain is slightly back. Time to incorporate it back into my daily routine.

Can you tell me what exercise do you use for your shoulder? I've managed to find some on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lH0g4UWTJYo), but it would be good to know if they are the 'correct' ones.

    Thanka.

I dont any of the shoulder exercises in the video.
I hang on the chinning bar with arms extended and wider than the shoulders for total of 3 minutes. Usually its is 1.5min, then followed by 3 sets of 30 seconds non stop.
Your forearms will be on fire now.

This is followed by bending TheraBand with the arm straight infront, inward and outward about 50 times each.

Then I do the twisting with one arm and supination of the other wrist about 20 times each arm. See attached document. This I do 3 times daily on the weekends but only once after coming back from work on weekdays.
    View attachment TylerTwistProtocol__200908DD_015207.pdf

After that stretching, 1 arm straight up and pull with the other arm to the opposite direction and hold. Then arms straight in front and pull it across the body and hold. 3sets each.

Finally the tennis elbow stretches (3 sets with wrist inward, left, straight and right), followed by 3 sets with wrist bend outward(left, straight and right).

When you start it might take you 15 - 20min with stops due to lactic acid buildup. However after a few session, you will get faster and faster. Add sets as required.

Dont buy the red or yellow theraband, too soft.
Start with green then upgrade to blue. Ladies might consider the red & green.

    Hope it is clear.
This is done after coming back from my 2 hours badminton session on weekends.

I am pain free now, it might work for you also.

Hi Roger - upon your recommendation I just purchased the FlexBar along with some other supplemental things (I have shoulder impingement and plantar fasciitis in the foot). I hope these tools make a tangible impact!

The blue is very tough, keep at it.
Worthy investment considering the amount we spend on phones etc etc.

Hope it works out for you and it might take some time to take effect.
