Hi pros and seniors, i'm currently caught in a situation whereby I'm confused on what tension goes best with arcsaber 009dx. Im thinking of using bg80 on it. Able to give any advice on what tension to go with or what string goes best with it. I'm more of a offensive, 60 offensive? seek for your kind help to advise on! Thank you all!
There is no best tension for a racket or string, tension is personal preference and you choose what tension YOU are most comfortable with. So try out different tensions and see what plays the best.
, thanks for e advice. In that case, maybe I rephrase myself. What does higher tension means? Higher tension able to smash and return better? What range is considered as high tension? Understand from my peers that higher tension would also change the shape of the racket
Oh yeah by the way I play with plastics so maybe if you play with feathers you can bump up the tension if you would like
A restringing job is nothing expensive. Tension and string is like grips and shuttles - a very personal thing. Bg 80 is a decent string but maybe you don't like the hard feel which gives you much response. There are so much strings outside and you will find fans of any string so it is impossible to answer your question. With tension it's the same. You cannot say I'm a offense player so 24 lbs must be fit my kind of style. It's impossible to tell you the best tension for your style or racket. You can only try out and find one which suits you. Who cares about User X who recommend tension with any string. If you benefit keep it and vary abit. If not cut it and try the next. It's the easiest way. So one recommendation: NGB 99 at 22 lbs for plastics and 24 lbs for feathers. A good string and tension IMO to start with. Btw high tension starts IMO at 26 lbs for thinner strings and 28 lbs for thicker strings.
"Who cares about User X who recommend tension with any string." " So one recommendation: NGB 99 at 22 lbs for plastics and 24 lbs for feathers. A good string and tension IMO to start with." ??????????
My "recommendation" means that NGB 99 is a very neutral string which is a good point to start. No really thin or thick, not hard not too soft, not slippery not really rough. So you can move into all directions of all aspects. I don't want to exclude that he should make his own experiences to find his string.
