Hmm, for non-tournament ones, from a few minutes (one of them was practically next door :D ) to 20 minutes of driving. Never had to take hours for my trips, yet.

    Salute.

Here is the distance chart for the 4 most-often visited gym:

    1. 110 miles round trip - usually takes up to 1.5-2 hrs to go (rush hour), and 1+ hr to get back (late night)

    2. 90 miles round trip - about 1.5 hrs to go, and 1 hr to get back

    3. 50 miles round trip - about 40 min to get there (early Sat morning), about 1+ hrs to get back (afternoon rush hr)

    4. 11 miles round trip - about 20 min to get there (most local roads), about same amount time to get back

5 Special trip - Drove 220 miles to Boston, ate, went shopping for 3 hrs and play for 3 hrs (no, not a tourny, just a regular club session), then drove another 220 miles back on the SAME day... ;)

Usually, either 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes. Depending on which facility we have practice. Once though, I traveled 3 1/2 hours to another city to practice Thursday and Friday. It was great fun. It's weird to be the stranger at a regular club practice. Now I know how out of towners feel when they come to practice at our club and everyone is wondering who they are.

It's in the same building, so, almost no travelling.

    Saturday
    Travel time: 30 - 40 mins
    Travel distance: 3 - 4 km
Well, 10 minutes per km, all because of the construction work done all along the road to elevate it into a highway. Once they're done, I think it'd take half the time.

Walking distance about 10-15 minutes, driving(Slowed down by a traffic light) 5 minutes. Some of the courts about 40 minutes by train. Oh well, the court within walking distance is my best friend. :)

    Agree.

I was half way dying on my way home, and tried my best to kept my eyes open. It was wild and dangerous, and I don't think i want to try it one more time. If I have to go that far, I will surely find a place to stay overnight, and come back the 2nd day.

wow, i guess we are fanatics to a certain extent.

lazybuddy has by far travel the greatest length, however that was for a special case, but still something to say, wow.

i know how it is lazybuddy, to drive back when you are half-dead tired.

i did this for four straight saturday, 2.5 hrs to and 2.5 hrs back, so by the time i get home, i was already sleeping. a total distance of about 260 miles.

4 straight week? wow... I thought I am the only one. Seriously, there's absolute no clubs anywhere closer to ur home? I can feel ur pain now.

I have to say, playing after long time of driving is no fun. My legs getting sore tired and sore after driving for 2 hrs. This will surely effect my performance, and kinda annoying. That's why I was so eagerly looking for new gyms around my home. Lucky enough, found 2 much closer ones, and felt a little bit sad to say "goodbye" to my old buddies in the old places.

    G'day,

Big country Australia is. The longest drive I had to play in a tornament was in Portland. That was 440km west of Melbourne and took over 4.5 hours to get there. However, there was a team in the same event, who drove all the way from Taralgon to Melbourne and then to Portland, which is another additional 180km each way, so they drove over 1100km round trip for that single event alone!

Talk about dedication! For the record they won their section in the tornament so the trip was worth the effort. :)
