Default Good online badminton stores that ship to Canada?

Any reccommendations? I feel the selection around here is very poor.

Personally, I think buy stuff locally should be a "safer" choice. You can demonstrate racket (at least, hold it, and take several swing, etc) before purchase, which will be much more useful than asking questions around, since everyone's standard and needs might be totally different.

Also, u can avoid problems such as delivery (extra shipping fee), exchange (minor defect), warranty (serious defect after a short period of time), etc.

Also, read some threads about high import tax in CAN, not very sure if this might effect u or not.

Does Laurence not retail in Canada?

I think the thread was titled what happened to Chun123 in e-bay or something like that.

    Yup got it:

His e-mail and site address should be in there somewhere.

Yeah I'd like to buy locally but the selection is BRUTAL. For restringing, I only have 3 choices. 2 Yonex and 1 (forget name, think it's associated with Black Night)

    Hi Tropicalmouse,

Read your post in the forum about having very little selection of badminton equipment in your area. Just wondering where you live? If you're interested, I can send you some demo racquets free of charge for you to try out. Definitely no point in buying a racquet if you can't try it out first.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

I believe that TropicalMouse is from the Toronto area which I would think that there is Brown's, Yo's and Lee's being some that has a good selection of badminton racquets (not necessarily in order).

It's okay to buy stuff online if you know what you are going to buy. For example, if you have tried out a racquet model and would like to buy it but found an online store that is cheaper, then it's no problem at all.

Again, if you are buying from outside of Canada, you might need to pay GST and duty (if applicable) when the package arrives.

I live in Kitchener, which is about an hour away from Toronto (longer if traffic is bad)...

I can't drive myself because my parents won't let me drive that far yet.

Wow the up-and-comers of the badminton equipment world joining forces to combat the Yonex syndicate.

If you want to purchase online you could try http://www.badmintonzon.com/en/ based in Quebec, however they don't sell Pointfore or Winex .

Hahaha...I wish...my motto is not to diss any products. That's up to the consumer. Obviously Winex is my preferred choice but if I can help in any way, then that's great and hopefully the consumer will remember that and spread the word.
