hey guys, im 16 and i play badminton at the national level. however, i recently realized that when i play, im extremely stiff and maybe thats why ive been getting 5 injuries in a single year =(. how do you guys relax when u play, normally not just in tournaments?
Mentally you should remind yourself to be RELAXED but ALERT!!!! This is on the way to the game and before the game, psyche yourself into that state so you will not get too tense during the game n do enough warm-ups.
You play at national level ? Maybe you are too anxious ? I suppose you have a good Weight training routine , and that should help your muscle to relax, so I think it must be mental...Try some breathing exercise ~ relax =]
Where have you been getting injured? Where are you stiff? Do you warm up and stretch enough? Do you have bad nerves (i.e. "chokes" easily) or something?
