Hi everyone, It's been a long time since I bought any badminton gear, and was wondering what some good places are to go in and check stuff out (hopefully with cheap prices) I've been to Tad's ages ago, but I hear there are some other places like Yumo Pro Shop and All Court Stringing? Thanks for any recommendations/tips
You also got Topline Sports on Main and 41st. I've purchased from Yumo a few times and its more of a store that you go to if you already know what you're looking for (You should check out their website). There's also Soccerlink across Lansdowne mall (north-side) which also has some badminton gear. Are you looking for anything specific?
Not really looking for anything specific right now, just to check out a bunch of different racquets and shoes to see what I want
Google it for locations... Tad's - Vancouver Topline - Vancouver All Court Stringing - Vancouver Yumo - Richmond Special Edition - Burnaby (Chrystal Mall) - very few rackets Dunrite - Richmond Rackets and Runners - Vancouver - limited selection Various badminton courts carry a pro shop - might be pricey though. Ask for prices and do comparison shopping. Or buy from RKEP. Do a group buy to share the shipping costs. It's what I've done in the past. Saved maybe $20-50 per racket than buying local. Killer is wait time as sometimes I want it right NOW!!!!
Now that I think of it...there's also Impulse Sports in Aberdeen Centre that carries gear. CanucksDynasty First time I've heard of Dunrite, how the selection of gear over there? And tell me about it, waiting for Zymax 62's and 65's from RKEP but customer service from Eric was top notch. Even sent me a picture of my order before sending it out
It's a small shop in Richmond in one of those strip malls near Aberdeen Mall close to Capstan Way, between Hazelbridge and Garden City (? I may get the cross roads mixed up). It's in the same complex as Janice Bakery (I think that's the name...makes good "Bo Lo Bow"...). I checked it out and wasn't all impressed with their selection. It's where I bought a couple tubes of ChoaPai shuttles to try out. But it's been a year since I've visited it...so things may have changed. Don't know if they're still open or not. And Impluse Sports is waaaayyyyyy overpriced.
I would also recommend Topline Sports, and most of the stuff I purchased from Topline are fairly priced compared to other local stores in GVA. They just got Adidas racquets and gears recently, which I haven't seen in other local stores yet.
Just sent a friend to Topline, he picked up a Victor MXJJS, very impressed with the speedy service and pricing!
