Hey all, I am starting a new thread that will list all of the dropins in downtown Montreal because I am looking to play for the rest of this summer and while I attend school.

I think that all of the older threads on this forum are too outdated.

So please post if you have a dropin you would like to list.

Currently the only dropin I am going to is the X-trm badminton club on wednesdays and fridays and it is an intermediate dropin. Wednesdays are really good you guys should check it out!

Member fees: Once a week, every Wednesday (11 times) for $88 per person
Once a week, every Friday (12 times) for $96 per person
Twice a week (23 times) for $184 per person
    - Guest: $10 per person, per visit

There is also a Mcgill dropin on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 6-8

I read in another thread that the guy-fraveau ymca has some very strong players and I am going to check it out this Tuesday at 7:30-8:30

Don't mix up the badminton at Guy Favreau...The times listed as "open badminton" are actually classes. You can play any time, however you must reserve a court 48 hours in advance. I have never showed up randomly so I don't know if some people let anyone play, but I will be going in the next few days. Should be better levels than elsewhere... I am C level and most places suck lately.

There's a Montreal Badminton group on Facebook called Badminton 514, they organize dropin games every Tuesday starting 7:30 PM I think. The problem is that most people go there for fun and to socialize. Apparently they do have another gym reserved for advanced players but you'll have to contact them to find out.
