    Depends on the fake.

If it's just the paint job then it can feel totally different.
    Weight, balance, flexibility.
Also depends on how high your tension is too. A fake might not be as well built & break at high tensions.
Then again it might feel great when you play with it.

I guess it depends what you want.
If you buy a racquet for the way it plays then your buying something that's just right for you rather than a brand.

If your buying a fake just cos it looks like a Yonex then your just following the fashion herd, Not neccesarily the best racquet for you but then again you've saved a bit of money eh?

i was told that one way to tell a fake from the original is to check if the racket has a serial number engraved, not painted, on the shaft as well as the handle.

dont think there is that much of a difference in terms of play. besides for the price you'll pay you dont have much to lose should you buy it. other original and branded models will cost you about Php 3500 and up.

    1. Is that a clone (geniue manufacture other than yonex, with similar color scheme on the racket) or a fake (using yonex without authorization). If a clone from a reputable manufacture (Winex, Ashway, etc), the quality is very good, but it's a different racket (not saying better or worse) playing vise.

    2. Even fake, there are many different ones. Some are really good in quality and playability. I saw some fake cab20 (purchased from China) and MP100 (purchased from INA). They generally felt lighter than the real one, but amazing good in control and worth the $$$ (usually not even 30% compare to the real one). However, I also knew some "unlucky" cases, like ppl bought suck quality fake ones, the head could be totally out of shape even under 23-25 lb. Easily being cracked, and such a waste.

actually, these are unauthorized copies of yonex models carrying the colors and markings of yonex MP99's and 100s. Also saw 200 and 300. they seem to be similar to the real stuff but at substantially reduced prices. We also have Winex originals which are comparable to the real yonex.

the fakes seem to be just as good. and for the price you'd pay for it, it wont hurt as much if they do break. a real MP99 goes for USD200+, the fake sells for less than USD80.
