Preferably one with medium shaft, around 3U, not too large a grip? Not too costly as well. Thanks in advance. :)

go for anything flexible or medium flexible. Apacs rackets are probably cheap in your area?

    hello,

i can think of a few options:
    a) if u can go JB, just get any of those RM99 rackets (apacs, fleet, etc etc)......comes with string and grip. Mostly are flexible shaft and light (try 4u, its lighter, easier)......easy to play, value for money.

    b) buy a used racket.......try for those less than S$50....some are good-enough rackets for beginners and usually (check carefully) in good condition.

    cheers.

Agree that the Apacs mid flex shaft is a good start, basically look for something that is balance and medium stiff to start off.

Getting the proper stroke is more important, also get a good pair of shoes is more benificial.

For Apacs I would suggest going for their own range of rackets, way better than their clone version.

P.S. I do have a spare Apacs racket for sale.
