Hi there I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a lightweight headlight racket they prefer to use especially the female players out there. I normally play with an Ashaway superlight 79 but as they have discontinued these and Im down to my last racket out of the three, due to court collisions, that I purchased Im having to look at other rackets and looking for something similar. Any recommendations please? Thanks
I've been recommended the yonex arcsaber FB but I've never had a yonex that felt good to the hand has anyone played and liked this racket? Also been recommended Carlton but again never had one that was fine tony hand. I currently switch between fleet ashaway and yehlex all fairly med flex and head light heaviest is the yehlex at 84g.
don't get the FB if you are afraid of racket collision. they are one of the most fragile rackets out there.
I used to play at mixed level clubs (no longer due to collision ) but yes you could be right and at nearly 150 quid a pop a rather expensive collision indeed just been used to certain rackets for so long now and finding something that fits my hand and fame as well as the super light did
nano9000, nano9900, nanoray700s, nanoray800 to me the ones above are all light weight and head light. i would consider the flashboost ultra lightweight and also what you're using is also ultra light. not sure if you mind playing with a racket that's a bit heavier or if you prefer the same weight. if you prefer to have a new model that is of similar weight as your current model, then forget my suggestions.
I think the Arc Saber FB is probably the best choice though also the most expensive. You can look at Karakal which is value for money. Another brand to look at is Kason.
If you have access to Victor rackets, have a look at the recently released Bravesword 12L (BS12L). Comes in either 5U or 6U, medium-stiff/medium-flex, medium balance. Should fit your needs.
The sl79 still seems to be available http://www.directsportseshop.co.uk/...tity=1&PriceMatchPrice=&PriceMatchURL=http:// if you want to upgrade to the sl99 then it's cheaper http://www.directbadminton.co.uk/Pr...n&Dept=tennis-rackets&Section=&ProductID=4740
Im not a fan of the SQ version, I bought one and it just didnt feel as good to me as the normal 79. Same with SL99 SQ head so not really sure what to do about it, wouldnt want to order one and dislike it. I dont mind shelling out for rackets IF they are going to fit my hand. I dont mind a slightly heavier racket but Im not a big person only being about 5ft1. I would probably say my yehlex is about the heaviest I would go. Looks like I have ALOT more research to do, also been recommended the Fukuda rainbow line rackets, I had two or three of these years ago, I think it was the rainbow 5's I had (yes ages ago) but just doesnt seem to be a UK stockist around these days
Li ning wingstorm series has some light weight rackets such as the below one, their balance point is somewhat high though. http://www.li-ning-badminton.com/rackets/windstorm/li-ning-wingstorm-680-badminton-racket-detail
