Where to Play in Toronto?
Hey, anyone know where I can go play badminton during the Christmas Break other than Mandarin/Lee's?

I've been calling around a bit and most clubs are closed because they're in schools which shut down for the break.
For Mandarin, you need a member to sign you in, I believe.

Hmm, there's a badminton club in Aurora at the Aurora High School, they play tuesday/thursdays (8:15pm - 10:15pm) and it costs around $35 for the whole season.
There's two other badminton clubs but I've never been to them. I know one exists in Woodbridge and the other in Stouville.
Or
York University
York Badminton Club Times
Cost= $5
Mon= 1:30 - 4:30 (tait mckenzie gym)
Thur= 1:30 - 4:30 (tait mckenzie gym)

At York, I think you need a shoe tag and a student card also. I will ask my York friend about how it works.. If you find a way in otherwise, let me know!

Places to play...
have you guys checked out the ontario badminton website?
They have contact information for just about every club that is currently running in Ontario, including the recreational clubs.
Please note, you have to call for more information.
If you do, you'll find out that some of the recreational clubs offer free play, just bring your racquet, shoes, shuttles, and shorts, and your set.
Hope this helps.
who can complain about free badminton? LOL

Free play in Toronto?!
Tell me where!
I've called pretty much all the Etobicoke (my home area) clubs and some of the North York (my work area) clubs and they all charge something. The cheapest I've found is J Piccinni where it's only $2.50 each time. Other places are usually $5 drop in, or there is a membership which ranges from $25-$60 for the season. I'm willing to drive a little further for some free play

If you come to Martingrove on Friday's, I'm there helping out with the Jr's
But I have been told about Wednesdays, I just can never seem to make it home early enough and still have enough energy to get to the place. If it were free, it would provide the extra incentive to go
