    I've been calling around a bit and most clubs are closed because they're in schools which shut down for the break.
    For Mandarin, you need a member to sign you in, I believe.

    Hmm, there's a badminton club in Aurora at the Aurora High School, they play tuesday/thursdays (8:15pm - 10:15pm) and it costs around $35 for the whole season.

    There's two other badminton clubs but I've never been to them. I know one exists in Woodbridge and the other in Stouville.

    Or

    York University
    York Badminton Club Times
    Cost= $5

    Mon= 1:30 - 4:30 (tait mckenzie gym)

    Thur= 1:30 - 4:30 (tait mckenzie gym)

    Fri= 2 - 4:30 (upper gym)

    At York, I think you need a shoe tag and a student card also. I will ask my York friend about how it works.. If you find a way in otherwise, let me know! :p

    Places to play...

    have you guys checked out the ontario badminton website?

    They have contact information for just about every club that is currently running in Ontario, including the recreational clubs.

    Please note, you have to call for more information.

    If you do, you'll find out that some of the recreational clubs offer free play, just bring your racquet, shoes, shuttles, and shorts, and your set. :)

    Hope this helps.

    who can complain about free badminton? LOL

    Free play in Toronto?! :eek: Tell me where! :D I've called pretty much all the Etobicoke (my home area) clubs and some of the North York (my work area) clubs and they all charge something. The cheapest I've found is J Piccinni where it's only $2.50 each time. Other places are usually $5 drop in, or there is a membership which ranges from $25-$60 for the season. I'm willing to drive a little further for some free play :)

    If you come to Martingrove on Friday's, I'm there helping out with the Jr's :D

    But I have been told about Wednesdays, I just can never seem to make it home early enough and still have enough energy to get to the place. If it were free, it would provide the extra incentive to go :p

    Driftwood should be opened this Friday since some friends of mine are planning to play there. I think this is the address:

    Driftwood Community Center
    4401 Jane Street
    Toronto, Ontario

    That's wierd. I payed only $30 and that's what the guy told me. Maybe it's the skills. :cool:

    Better players pay less because they create competition and the average players play more to play people like me. :D

    Toronto for 3 months! Let's play! ^^

    Hey guys,

    Haven't posted in a LONG while. Noticed the look has changed too. Anyways.. i'm back with my family here in TO for the next 3 months.

    Anyone wanna play with me? haha.. damn.. sucks not being able to go to VRC .. but maybe I'll find some good players to hit around or even train with while i'm here ^^

    Let me know.. I'm available all days for now.. till I find something more productive to do.. hehe.
