this worries me. also, kwun i have purchased two adidas precision pro and I am very willing to write a form of review of the raquet. maybe i could finish the draft and email the copy to you for a new thread?
you are also welcomed to post it yourself. more reviews are always welcomed. thanks!!! either way is fine for me!
.... Edit... my guess obviated by the hyper-intelligent jerby. ... How old is that thing, kwun? (this is just like 'This Old House' when they have mystery tools)
supposedly from the 60's. i guess at that time, they have wooden rackets and they lace the natural sheep gut by hand. at like 10lbs of tension.
LOL. Have you found the one for badminton racquets? The old days, people used to tighten the strings by wrapping the string around a piece of wood. This would deform the head quite a bit. Quite a bit cheaper than these electronic gadgets.
It's a training racquet. It teaches you to be precise and strengthens you. The two things sticking out the right side of the picture are to hurt you when you swing wrong and hit yourself so that you remember not to swing that way again.
I used to string myself when I was studying college in early eighties in Milwaukee because didn't know where else to string. Used the handle to manually pull each strings n used awl to 'maintain' the pulled strings. However it was Carlton 3.7X and 3.7S (ones w/ carbon shaft n stainless steel frames) so the frames held up pretty well.
