Does anyone knows about PPLP in Indonesia? I think it stands for "Pusat Pembinaan dan Latihan Pelajar" or "Pusat Pendidikan dan Latihan Pelajar"" but what does it do? Is it a school?
From what i can find on the internet, PPLP seems to be not a specila school for sports but some sort of "Center of Excellence" for student athletes. There are PPLPs for badminton, football, swimming, track and field etc. But how does the PPLP work? The PPLP starts recruiting youngsters around the ages 13-14yo. These students come from out of town. So is there a hostel at the PPLP training center? And where do these student go to for schooling? Anyone familiar with Indonesia sports and schooling system can share some info...
