Have anybody use these item before? Is it reliable? Any nifty info would be appreciated. Gamma ATS ERT 300 Tennishead Calibrator 2090
Tennishead Calibrator is fine, when I use it on my Wise, it shows exactly what's showing on my wise's screen and at the same time. The computer is for tennis. Those usually never work for badminton.
No wonder when I read product review for ERT 300, they never mention its usage on badminton racket.. For Calibrator 2090, it is far much better than the ordinary one selling at ebay/amazon? Or should I just get the ordinary one?
It is $75 from a chinese website.. Price-wise, digitial fish scale is an absolute option.. So, you bought and used both; 2090 and fish scale. You still prefer the latter? Thanks for replying.
I do prefer the 2090, because it is actually a calibrator and it is made like a calibrator. But I don't think it's worth paying 6 times the price of other calibrators/scales.
If you want to be a pro, there is not room for uncertain, At Tennishead it sell for US$60. If you are going to spend thousands dollars in electronic stringing machine, you sure get a good one, fish scale is option for beginner with limited budget.
Exactly.. Plenty of research and searching need to be done. Thanks for the additonal price update. Although it's $15 lesser, I think it's better if I can purchase everything that I require all in one spot. (Save me the trouble of paying several shipping charges)
Digital fish scales are precise enough to be used even by professionals. The ones I've used show the same results as the TennisHead calibrator. The main difference is that they were not built for calibration, so sometimes you have to find good ways to fix them somewhere. As long as it's digital there is no trouble and there is no point in spending additional money on it, unless you don't care about that money of course. Just make sure you buy one that has been tested before to make sure it's accurate. I believe Kwon posted a link some time ago to a decent one for like 5-10$.
Badminton tensions are usually half of tennis tensions and most players just like to have their rackets strung. On the ATP and WTA tour the ERT is essential, it helps us be more consistant while stringing. Tennis professionals are ALWAYS looking for consistancy, Badminton professionals go through so much string they just happy to get racket back. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1PCS-40kg-x...=US_Pocket_Digital_Scales&hash=item4849135947 We compared these to a $200 professional digital calibrator and worked the same.
Thank you everybody for your ideas and comments.. I already listed down all the required stuff.. It's just a matter of acquiring some more cash that got me stucked
