Maybe it has be discussed already in this forum. What if the player can hit with both hands and he holds racquets in both hands so he doesn't need to hit back hand at all. Is it legal?

You can switch hands and/or hold two racquets. I've done both...but holding two racquets is better than switching hands. More deception with two racquets, plus you cover more area with two racquet heads...especially at the net!!!! If you get into a rally where you are repetitively smashing...it's natural for you other arm to come up and be ready for the return and smash again!!

I've only done this in regular play, not in a tourney...always wanted to though!!!

i think switching racket hands is legal. i doubt using 2 rackets is legal tho.

unless you're naturally ambidextrous, it would be better to work on your backhand instead.

    2 hands, 2 shuttles

If both hands are allowed, there should be 2 shuttles in play.

Switching hands is legal and so is using two racquets as there is nothing in the rules book that forbids it. The question is how do you serve without making it a illegal serve.

    2 rackets

I tend to clash my two racquets when I follow thru at the end of a smash.:(
Perhaps using a very short racquet on one of the hand will resolve the problem. It is kind of like sword fighting with one hand while the other hand using a dagger.

you can use two full size racquets just fine if you hold one of the racquets dagger-style. That is, in the opposite direction as one would normally do, up along the arm. A quick flick of the wrists will bring that to the normal position while bring the other racquet to the "up" position.

You can even make that flick as a stroke itself... i made a post about that awhile ago but only succeeded in confusing people. :p

Using one racket without getting the other non-racket hand in the way occasionally is bad enough. I'm sure some of us have accidentally hit some part of this hand during a game. But using two rackets will definitely make it worse as the "hands" become longer and more difficult to negotiate out of trouble.

Most of us use the non-racket hand for balance and of course, for holding the shuttle before we serve, besides doing other things like adjusting your specs, etc. How could you do this well with holding a racket and a shuttle at the same time without interfering your game? How can you avoid an illegal service as questioned by WWC?

What about those diving saves that you have to do once a while. LasyBuddy will have no chance to execute them! You will have no free hand to cushion your fall unless you throw away one racket at the last minute to break fall. Worse still the 'other' racket may even endanger your body by breaking up with you in the way!

My left hand is a handicap. To put a racket on my weak left hand will only attract my opponent to constantly aim at that direction and instinctively I will try to use that racket to counter but always ended up the loser!

So how can two rackets help with my game???

Hey, I can use 2 MP99 in the same time.
One to hit the shuttle, the other one to poke (to inform) my parner and let him know I am hitting the shuttle :D

if you must use 2 rackets, use a junior racket for your off hand. :p

dunno how you can deliver a killer smash from your weak hand holding a junior racket though :p

And it would harder to poke ur partner with a shorter junior racket :p :p

Lol... I am the "example" now. ;)

Actually, I was about to metion such things until I read this reply. Very true, holding 2 rackets could be dangerous during the "off balance" (not necessary diving saves) move. Never have to metion throwing away the "extra" racket might endanger others on court as well.

Also, I think for certain moves, we need to raise the free hand to a certain position to keep balance. If there's a racket in that hand, it might actually block the other racket's movement as well.
