Do you string the top 5 and bottom 4 crosses at a lower tension, like what Victor stringing instruction says? If you do, why? If not, why don't? Thanks.
ok, found myself some clues here: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/8079-Proportional-Stringing-Method
nowadays, my cross tension is set to 13-15% higher than main tension. i leave the lower and upper crosses the same tension as the mains. different machines and different work flows affects that number. you should experiment and choose the one that results in the most playable stringjob.
My top cross is never tighter than 29; if I have to go higher than that, I add 1lb per cross until I get there. Bottom crosses I do normally, with 1 lb over for the knot. For example, on my personal 30/32 jobs my crosses follow 29, 30, 31, 32 till the bottom cross, then 33 at the bottom.
