Today's quarterfinal round will be started on 12.00pm local time, using 3 courts.

Home players dominate WS category, secure 2 semifinal spots so far. All-JPN-finals in the making? Well, it depends on Tai Tzu Ying plus CHN two Wangs.

MS discipline, defending champion Lee Chong Wei is on the way to win title once again here. Three IND MS in last eight, good achievement from the youngsters Srikanth and Prannoy.

MD, world champion Ahsan/Setiawan will face pretty tough opponent TPE Lee SM/Tsai CH. While AE winner Liu/Qiu and London OG silver medlist Boe/Mogensen will take on their compatriot.

WD, top-seed Ma/Tang is the fave to bag title.

XD, top three Xu/Ma, Zhang/Zhao and Fischer/Pedersen are expected to progress into last four.

For INA viewers, MNC Sports 1 (channel 101) will broadcast LIVE from quarterfinals onward.

The Chinese back up pair Liu Cheng/Bao Yixin won over Kido/Zebadiah, 17-21 / 21-19 / 21-19. Trailing 4-12 at decider, INA pair closed the gap until 19-19 position but too bad at critical position CHN XD grabbed two important points to seal the match.

Srikant lost 18-21, 9-21 against tago. He played well in the first game but the in-form tago proved to bee too much for him in the second.

Tago played in 2nd gear for the first set. He then stepped straight into 5th gear for the second set. I've never actually seen such a contrast in level of play between two sets.

So I think the 16 year old Jap girl (Yamaguchi) is using a VT80. Even if it's a 4U, it should really send a clear message to those of us who don't like "head heavy" rackets etc - it's not the racket, it's your technique!

Wow, Japanese teenager Akane Yamaguchi progresses into semifinal, def. her senior teammate Yui Hashimoto, 21-12 / 21-16 and will challenge TPE bright talent Tai Tzu Ying tomorrow.

Yeah, too bad, all wiped out. At first I thought Prannoy and Srikanth, in that order might progress to the semi-final, with Ajay the least likely facing the ever reliable and solid WC bronze winner, NTM.

Now Sindhu's conqueror, Akane Yamaguchi, the 16-yr-old child prodigy, advances to take on another older prodigy Tai TY tomorrow. A bright future ahead for Akane, I think.

Another Japanese qualifier, Shizuka Uchida, topples her fancied senior Mitani Minatsu.

Though K.Srikanth lost to Kenichi Tago, which is expected one, i must say that the road to quarters for him is more promising. His first round opponent Sho Sasaki and second round opponent Kazuteru Kozai , the conquerer of ChenLong.

Prannoy who defeated WWK in the first round and JOJ in the second round are the most valuable casualities. Though his rank is much lower than Gao Huan, he fought very well to drag him to 3 sets.
