    Hello BC.

I was wondering what psychological techniques you use to improve your games?

For example, I picture myself making a particular shot, executing it perfectly with the desired outcome.

I'd imagine myself being Lin Dan:
"What would Lin Dan do?" I ask myself.
    "I don't know. I'm not Lin Dan..."
"Just what would Lin Dan do?" I ask myself again.

Then I miss the shot :/

I just take a little breather when things don't go my way. Make sure you always try to focus on the next point. All the other points not relevent. This is not very easy to do though. I'm still struggling with it myself.

    Visualization is just one aspect.

    There are others like
    Positive thinking
    Being in the zone
    Reframing
    Error parking
    Etc

When I play, I imagine that I have "sharingan". If you've ever watched Naruto, you'll know what I mean. :)

Basically it's looking at badminton as a chess match, and playing certain moves to force the opponent to react predictably.
