It's good for walking from home to the court. On arrival, change into badminton footwear. ;)

I wouldn't recommend basketball shoes for badminton, much less And1 shoes...that's just me.

within my group of badminton friends whom i play with on a weekly basis, i've seen him worn out two pairs of And1 basketball shoes. lucky enough for him, he hasn't hurt himself, and i think he's getting faster with his footwork. but i still think that the shoes are hindering him from going faster. the ankle support is great with basketball shoes, but i think too much support will hinder one's movement. i also think that if you get used to using basketball shoes for badminton and suddenly change into a pair of badminton shoes and start playing, you will inevitably hurt yourself :( so just start off with a pair of proper badminton shoes and be done with :)
