Sato, Pontip and Gu J are drawn in top-half. On the script, Porntip will face Sato in R/16. Do you mean Porntip v Gu J and Deng X v Busanan for WS semifinal?!

Oh-oh, THW's body language doesn't look good, not into the game.

It's going to be a one-round outing for Tian Houwei, disappointing.

Chan YK took game 1, 21-13. Sign of first round exit for Tian HW?

If this is going to be his attitude, then he has only himself to blame if he doesn't go far. Wake up, young man. Hope his mother knocks some sense into him.

Chan YK won over Tian HW, 21-13 / 22-20. Chan saved 4 game point and locked Tian at 20. Similar path created by Tian HW, contrast outcome in back to back tournament.

When LXR was his age at 21 and also in the early years of their respective careers, she could win back-to-back tournaments whether it's GPG/SS, a different pedigree I suppose (?), more likely a matter of self-discipline, motivational attitude and the will-to-win. When holding GP or MP regardless one or several, all the more you have to stay totally focused.

What's galling is that THW made the same 'mistake' twice - the last time after a historic win at the AUS GPG, he immediately stumbled at the following tournament in the very 1st round, this time it was no different though last week's triumph wasn't comparable with the previous case.

I suspect when holding 4 GP in the 2nd set just now, he thought he could as a matter of course take the set and let his guard down. Hope he learnt a valuable and unforgettable lesson.

Isn't he just tanking it this week to save energy for next week? Iirc he was also entered into Denmark SSP or not? In any case: yet one reason less to attend  (could've filmed a few of his matches from court level ...)
