Great, I'm always on the lookout for alternate shuttles (currently use RSL Standard). Initial price looks reasonable, but I'd expect cheaper prices for us loyal customers hehe (which Eric tends to give via e-mail anyway). Also, at that price, I'd expect the shuttle to last 1.5 games, not just 1 game.

I pay ~$US14.4 per tube (including delivery) for RSL Standard, and they can often last up to 1 MD game. Quality varies of course, and sometimes we use up to 3 shuttles per game, but that's not frequent.

I won't be buying RKEP shuttles until someone reviews them.

Yeah I saw this, unfortunately I tend to avoid speed 77 for UK, unless this happens to be a very fast 77...

Just tried this at my badminton session. Shuttles were surprisingly fast for speed 77. Flight was a bit strange to me, I've used Yonex AS30, Yehlex Tournament and Carlton GT1, and these flew higher longer and would then suddenly dive.

As for durability, one feather lasted about 3 sets (we don't smash that hard). The other one lasted less than 1 set, because the skirt got squashed. Squeezing the shuttle in my hand, it's not as solid as the other shuttles I have tried.

Feeling wise, it's not as good the others, but they're not in the same price range. I haven't tried many cheap shuttles, because I'm a firm believer in the real economy of the durable and expensive shuttles. The shuttles weigh about 4.7g to 4.8g, while the GT1 (78) and Yonex shuttles (3) are around 5.3g.

At the end of the day, this shuttle is excellent value for money, which would only increase if you buy in higher bulk to offset the delivery costs.

Would I buy these again? Probably not. I prefer the feel and flight of Carlton GT1/Yonex AS30, but it's definitely worth trying out, especially if you happen to be buying something else from RKEP.
