When ordering Yonex strings, any reason to pick JP over SP or CH? Or just go with the least expensive?
I've heard that CH strings aren't the same quality as JP OR SP like lower quality but I tend to use SP because it does the job well and most stringers use SP strings well in my area.
I have been using CH and JP strings and i find there isn't much difference between them. I do not think that CH strings are of lower quality.
I have tried the JP and SP. Honestly speaking - it feels the same. Just that JP is just slightly more durable than SP. And more expensive too.
I honestly choose the cheapest option, ONLY from a recognized store. One time SP was cheaper than CH so I went straight for that.
only string that i have extensively tested is NBG98 SP and CH. in the end, i actually prefer the CH, seems to have more power to it.
Although you say you've extensively tested them, the results are still subjective right? Or do you have an objective way of testing them?
It is all same manufacture and same quality. The only difference is for the stringer, if you are only end user, you will never feel the differences on the string. A good string reach to a good stringer(with extra care to your racket) your string less damage and long lasting. If a good string reach to a bad stringer, no matter how good is it, it will become normal string. Just sharing some thoughts, don't bite me.
there're some different for sure, otherwise Japanese team (yonex sponsored) won't bring their own string (JP code) to tournament for restring, eventhough Yonex open world wide provide restring service to their sponsor players for free (string and labor).
Hi ppl I ve made hundreds of restringings using SP's version, many of them @ 31 lbs, no problem. I think Yonex should try better things to do than loosing its time on inventing codes and make these messes on people's head.
I don't think its Yonex messing with people's heads. They're simply putting distribution codes on their products to identify location of sale and interestingly enough it is all these forum experts that make up these assumptions. Bottom line, Yonex has never laid claim that a specific distribution code such as JP is better than any other..... have they?
