With the damper or without damper? Currently my grommet are string without dampers..

Difficult to have best of both world.. you win some, you lose some..

Might as well tell me your favourite racket now..

Arc 10 is out of the league.

actually curious if the dampers do anything other than slight adjustment to head weight.

mainly i am looking for a comparison between this racket and shiden because i am looking to purchase one of them very soon. how does it feel without the damper?

my fave racket is cab 20 tour. but that is not really relevant so i'm not sure if you were actually asking me or making some kind of rhetorical statement.

i'm assuming by "arc 10 is out of the league" you mean that the customedge v is much better right?

I guess every rackets has it pros and cons..

Type v is more a double rackets.. 2g of grommet strip weight/damper on the head is a big different.

I only compare type v with Shiden.

Type v is slightly wider on the frame head> bigger sweetspot
type v has Shorter shaft > better manoeuvring
Type v is lighter overall> less tiring on arms
Both can deliver very fast and flat drive.
Type v is less stiff shaft than Shiden.

Actually what gosen sacrificing is the smashing power as compare to Shiden. This is yet to confirm with the grommet strip if added..swing weight and swing speed may change...

Gosen egg headed frame give a very satisfying and astonishing sound when hitted..

You can call yonex vtzf/li-ning n90 " mike Tyson".. and customedge type v as "M.D. Ali" as it move like a butterfly but sting like a bee..

If you are mike Tyson in nature.. don't attempt this racket.

what exactly do you mean "don't attempt"? is it that you won't get the most out of it if you're Mike T.? or that you would actually get hurt since it's totally not the Mike T. playing style?

    can't compare..

Issen is heavy head... whereby type V is balanced ( you can already expect what is the pros and cons between them. eg. Issen will smash harder!

i have a cab 22 which is the same as a cab 20tour. The shaft of the cab22 is stiffer in comparison to the Gosen.

you can't get hurt playing with balanced racket... when i means don't attempt if you are mike tyson, means that you are a hardsmasher accustomed to heavy head racket... after getting used to balance racket, you may not be able to switch back to heavy head rackets.

I was a hard smasher last time... but when you playing with good players, it is not so easy that you can kill them with only one smash! some players may purposely lift the shuttle for you to smash them till you run out of strength and breath.

I want to control the rally, counter attack under offensive play, mulitple rally...that's why i sold all my heavy head rackets to switch to balance/light head rackets.

smashing used to be a joy for me... but now counter attack is more satisfying and enjoyable..hahaha

haha... you got my type X..hahaha

referring to the gosen chart, your type X is more of a control racket... whereby Type V still got a punch to it... although i prefer type X colour..hahaha

how much you get for your type X?? how's the play? should be good right... although light but gosen's racket is famous for its repulsion..

my type V hitting sound is so much louder as compare to Shiden... haha.. maybe new string & tension...
