Some say that the All England is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious badminton championship. But then again, some consider World Championships or the Olympics as major titles to be won ... so wondering which is more prestigious..

A long time ago, before many of us were born, there were no World Championships nor Olympics.
Due to internal political strife, there were no players from China either.

So, the All England was the most prestigious.

Later, the World Championships started and that moved up the stakes. It took another 15 years before badminton was a full Olympic sport.

Many from China would not regard the All England as prestigious. That's because they couldn't enter before around 1978-9. In fact, it's quite possible China couldn't compete in the 1977 World Championships
