DE coded so doubt it. Will ask its origin as I would be interested in the how/why of this pattern if staff of said shop are members on here.

From central sports. Rate THEIR string job? Ha, I'm just interested in the what how and why of this loop. The user seemed pleased with their work and mine.

Received this. What do we think? I suspect clamps too tight, hopefully just paint damage. The result is a very long thin racquet even at
    "24lbs".

    Not my work.

^That's definitely more than paint-deep, and the long/thin issue is highly suggestive of over-tightening of the side supports.

Oh. I'd better tell the owner then. I've got an old string / no.string / new string comparo pic. I think I'll have to go top down next time to reshape it.

    Thanks for your input.

After a little over 50 jobs since I started at end of last year, I think my technique has come on quite a lot since then!

Do you use that extra bottom cross often?

Nope! I usually stick to the recommended pattern, it's only lately that I've been experimenting a little

You can get it in easier if you one-piece it. I never use it because it means I have to tie a knot in a grommet that's already got two strings in it.

They look a bit like mine, actually - too big to be a single Parnell.

It's Master Kakinami's toshi knot, which is probably what prompted his very kind comment

I recently switched to using it after finding my parnells/pro knots always slipping slightly. This one doesn't budge, and works great as a starting knot so all my knots look identical, which is good for my OCD!

I had the same problem with Parnells, so I developed a double version. No more falling into grommets.
