Anyone played at this facility recently? Is it any good? Also, how was the crowd at Bintang (Geneva) last weekend nites?
Grand Opening at Geneva was just horrible. But now it's not as bad. There's always a free court or two. I was there Saturday but only stayed from 3 - 7. Played most of the time, the time i didn't play i was drinking water, in the bathroom, or sitting for a bit.
Geneva players What type of people play at Geneva? Beg/Int/Adv? How crowded is it at lunch compared to night time? thanks, Chris
The crowd isn't bad at lunch. Always a free court, at night time. There's probably at least 1 free court available. I would say that you can find people of all skill level there. Not as much advance people as you would want though. Not sure what my skill level would be. Maybe lower intermediate or just plain old intermediate.
Define lower intermediate? If you would play in a tournament, what level would you play? B? C? Is it mostly B / C players at bintang? I emailed them today, and they said it gets busy on week nights. How does their rotation work for people waiting. Chris
Re: Geneva players Are you the Chris that I know of playing also in Sunnyvalue Community center? Last time I went to Geneva on Monday during lunch. There were only 7 people including me - 2 advanced, 4 immediated and 1 beginner.
Qidong, I play at Sunnyvale and Bintang at lunch. I do not believe I am the person you are looking for though. Chris is a common name. I just started playing after a 7yr break from the sport. I'm a weak intermediate player. Chris
If I were to play at a tournament, I would be playing D probably. I've never been to a tourney before so I wouldn't know how I would do in C. You can find C and sometimes B players there. The first day Geneva opened, there were some A players. I might be going there this Saturday so if you show up. I guess you can judge whether or not I'm a lower intermediate player. Or maybe I'm just an advanced beginner.
