can anyone shed any light on a racket I have owned for many years, it's a Carlton 2.7x flat shaft.
I used it in the late 70's during inter club matches is it still ok to use in match play?

is that a typing error ?

    I think it's a 3.7x:)

It should be fine to use it in match play. Your stringer will find it a novelty.

You may want to try out newer models as these are more easily manoeuvrable when swinging the racquet.

you might want to have it restrung. while a historical artifact, 30+ years old strings probably don't work too well anymore. go easy on the tension. try 20lbs at most.

no it was definitely a 2.7....given to me by an old sports store to try some kind of prototype at the time, I also have a Browning big gun racket I use most club nights very light but stiff.
