Hey everyone. Have anyone of you heard about a racket brand named LEADA? This brand produces a lot of racket that from the outlook, looked 90% like YONEX racket. I would like to know if LEADA is good. Thank you all.
Only see leada racket in Malaysia. They paint it to look like the high end yonex. Is it as good as Yonex? probably NOT
so how come yonex didnt sue this company? as the similarities are above 90%. other companies only cloned the technology but not the paint work and model name right? but leada cloned even the model name and paint work.
probably too small to be worth suing. afterall, half the racket manufacturing capacity in China are making Yonex clones, including the brand name, model, paint job. they replicate everything except the most important part of a racket: the use of quality material and technology. how many can they sue?
i am sure they have trademarked their model names and as we have seen, they do patent the technologies. but as far as i know, one cannot patent graphical design. and also to chase after these small time cloners is not worth money.
Im laughing at these guys , METEOR B 80?? hahaha. Here check it out : https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...69757494.94326.125225710846940&type=3&theater
The story here is that recently my brother's racket is broken and my mum asked an uncle to help him buy one as this uncle of mine is very experienced in badminton and also badminton equipment. I know him well, he's rich, so he does not need to cheat our money. And with his knowledge in badminton, he won't simply buy a lousy racket for us. This is what's bugging me, so I went online to google "LEADA" and the facebook link was all I can find about this brand. That's why I posted this here to seek clarification from all of you who are more experienced than me here.
How good is your brother? You uncle may simply feel that buying an expensive racquet has some difficulties. e.g. if you brother is not careful with equipment (your brother broke a racquet), abuses equipment, loses equipment, doesn't play tournaments nor matches. It's not a case of 'cheating money'. Just being practical. I gave my daughter an old racquet and she broke it by leaning on it like a walking stick. Still gave her a cheap one after that.
^^ makes a lot of sense, lol me and my friends 'donate' our old rackets to the young kids in our neighborhood and we usually end up regretting our decision because they don't even know the value of what's in their hands. on the other hand, remember sweettalking helps when all else fails .
OK. Then it won't be a problem for your brother to say to your uncle that he will buy his own racquet with your brother using his own money. Just ask your uncle for recommendation (based on your brothers expectations) rather than expecting your uncle (or parents) to pay for it. This will impress your uncle and parents immensely about the passion for the game.
