I am curious as to the type of gymnasium that 'non-national' players from SE Asia (HK, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Austrailia) to go play badminton.

    1. Do they have air conditioning?
    2. Are the ceiling height high enough?
    3. All wooden floors?
    4. Good, ok or bad lighting?

It would be nice to hear players feedback from abroad.

I think european players would be at some disadvantage when playing tournaments in SE Asian countries. They are not use to hot and mucky air, and there is no t-shirt change breaks allowed during a game :) Where I live it is alway cool and dry, it rarely gets higher than 27 deg C in the summer even that the air is still relatively dry.

thanks for all the feedback to date. Temperature control are found only in private club where i live. Also, some clubs even have to pump in moisture during the winter time.

  7. Many courts also very draughty and not air tight.

    Shuttles always drifting.

I go play badminton in schools :(... some are so low it barely touches the top when you clear almost.. also has lifted up basketball hoops so sometimes if you clear too high it gets stuck lol. It doesnt get too hot at all if anything, cold... sucky place to play (unless rich schoo)
