don't know about master 1, but can compare master ace and a300. master ace is a great shuttle, it's on par with as50, the flight is very very similar and durability wise maybe even better.
i like the a300, it's quite durable. but it's faster than master ace and as50 (a300 speed 77, master ace 77 and as50 speed 2). slows down a bit less at the end. so taking as50 as a benchmark for the flight pattern - master ace is very very close, when a300 has a bit less feather-ish flight. But costs significantly less too, i think it's great for the money.

How about trying RKEP? Eric is based in Taiwan but he gives good prices and the service is excellent.

Where do you buy Master ACE from? I love that shuttle. you are right, it is very close to AS 50.

8$ is cheap... you should definitely get some. but before buying a box, you should try them. i tried only victor no5 from cheap victor shuttles and they were not good at all - very fast and with a very poor durability.

Oh my :0 that does sound cheap.. Yeah I'll be sure too, oh yeah as for steamin shuttles could I use a rice cooker or could I lay them out on my desk while I take a shower because like the steam goes everywhere LOL.

Tried Victor Master No2 in my recent session:
    -Durability 2 games (intermediate lvl)
    - Flight quite similar to Protech Platinum.

    Tried Victor Master No1:
    - Durability 1.5-2 games (intermediate lvl) breakage on feather
    - Color: more yellowish

Personally feel AS50 is much more durable and flight is more consistent at least for 2 games (intermediate-advance lvl) as compared to Victor Master No.1.

have tried the lowest grade goose feather shuttle, Master 5, very bad. the feather is very brittle and it's a lot heavier than the victor gold. found that victor gold shuttle actually lasted longer than Master 5. victor gold at $15 and master 5 at $16.

have also tried Master 3 which was a lot better than master 5 and gold, at $23. definitely not as good as aeroplane black label or yonex as30, but it's a big step up from gold and it's a big two steps up from master 5.

master 5 uses goose feather but performed a lot worst than gold which uses duck feather, i'm not sure why. some how, master 5 and master 3 seemed to be a lot heavier...
