Well there were marks on the frame but I thought I was reliably informed that it was a barely used racket with no clashes previous so took his word for it, also PP rackets are usually more sturdy than that.

Broke a racket for the first time in my life. My old (circa 2004) Sintec Isometric Ti 975 strung @ 25lbs. Went for a smash, mistimed it, heard a crack. Thought the string snapped but when i saw what actually happened, racket was gone @ the 2 o'clock position. Sigh, it has served me rather well.

Here's my Nanospeed 800

Survived a good 2.5 years though, so it must have tried really hard
However, I have a slight concern. Can anybody tell how the crack may have developed? Does it look like a stringing flaw as I got it re-stringed 3 weeks ago...
I made a thread about it here.
Please could you respond quickly as I have a NS9900 in the post and wish to restring it this week. I want to know whether to let the guy who strung it before to string it again.
Thanks in advance.
I appreciate any help.

Sigh.. My friend violently swung and clashed only taking off the thick layer of paint. One misshit with the shuttle and it gave out :'(. Brought this back from Taiwan and didn't even last a full month of play.
RIP BS LYD

wow, after reading half the posts in this thread (cos i'm in a vegetate state), i totally agree with one of the poster who mentioned that regular club players should probably just play with non high-end rackets to avoid the heartache...at least for me.
tho i have both an vtzf and a vt3 and i could tell a bit of the difference, i don't think i will be able to play a lot better with the vtzf ltd. so today, i went out and bought a nanoray20. now i have a voltric3, arcsaber002, and a nanoray20. one of each low end racket each with a different balance. i am set

anways, c2 was lent a racket and broke the...grip..by merely snapping his wrist... ahmm...the grip as in the ACTUAL WOOD THING. Anyways, this friend of c2's was nice and lent him ANOTHER racket. he then performed...a "weak" dropshot..and broke the frame...as if A DROP SHOT COULD DO THAT!!!
Needless to say...one day, three crippled rackets - two being severly handicapped for ever...it was an interesting dai for him
