    meh, it is FAKE..

first the price is too low
second, I checked their Yonex racket and those are definitely fakes..
what is the chance of buying genuine racket from fake maker? lol..

and yeah, "original" does not mean it is "genuine"
original means it is creation from somebody, by changing the paint job a little bit, they can call it as "original" (but it is still a fake racket)

the link does not help much..
but, like I said before, the combination should be fine

    did you win the auction?
if you want a definite answer, you are welcomed to post some pictures of the racket here:

ould someone check this out for me? It looks authentic enough and the serial numbers are engraved - I just would like a second opinion.

    Thanks!

good thing that you asked first
    it is a FAKE racket

they used plastic to cover the racket, oval tag, wrong bag, and the cone code and shaft serial is also wrong

Whoa, good thing I checked it out first. Thanks for doing this Avenger. The only thing I'd like to know now is:

If the code is for example 010187CH

This would mean the racket was made in 2008, right? So how do they now distinguish double figures for the past 3 years?

    Thanks!

if you mean the year, simple, they put 1 digit only
    for example 010122SP
this "2" could be mean 2002 or 2012

    and then:
the shaft serial number is always going up it reach 9999999 in 2011 and going back to 2XXXXX
and the it reach 3XXXXXX in 2012
the shaft serial would distinguish the whether it is a 2002 or 2012 production

there is no such thing as same shaft serial (not yet) for made in Japan model
Since Yonex made around 1 mill racket per year, and their shaft serial going back to 2XXXXXX
it will be another 7-8 years before we could see another racket with shaft serial 9999999

Perfect - I'm sure you've explained this 100 times before already - thanks so much for your help. It really is much appreciated!
