Lol. Well firstly, no one is that dumb to sell an authentic one at such a low bidding price, 2ndly from the patterns with fake sellers, they usually sell 3 - 4 racquets like that....

The easiest to tell is the Muscle Power racquet cover, it was so fake -_-
Muscle power covers do NOT have white writings.
ANd if he is selling one fake racquet, the rest of them may just be fake.
That's how I look at this.

some people use real racquets and fake bags.

besides, the photo-flash from the camera might of flooded the scene, to produce the silver-accents on the bag to appear as white.
its interesting to note how there are that version of the mp99 fake without the special grommets at the T-joint.

Oh... Why do they even use fake covers if selling real racquets anyways?... Just wondering.
Btw, the word "Yonex" and the YY logo is suppose to be in gold... His camera can't be stupid enough to make it whit by itself...

he speaks of the mp-strip, around the bottom corners of the frame, and not the special grommets on the T-joint.

those special grommets on the T-joint can be on any of the newer racquets. all the MPs, ATs, NS series, and even other brand racquets if someone decides to take out the special grommets and implant them on their own frame.
i did that to a couple of my carlton's.
its not the camera's fault, and its the user's fault. the person who took the camera is probably just not real good with a camera.

and i was mentioning the point that they might not have had the real bag available to include?
its not so much of an issue with new racquets, but for used one, its a real possibility.
perhaps he bought the mp99 new, then the oem bag got ripped, and he acquired a fake musclepower bag, from a friend, maybe a fake racquet he bought, for a number of reasons.
then if he were to sell it, of course he would want to include the bag.Last edited by chickenpoodle; 03-25-2005 at 05:21 PM.

Is that why some people choose MP99 over MP100?
Moreover,
The colors were all wrong on the cover. The Muscle Power in big letters are not suppose to be gold while the Yonex and small muscle power word is suppose to be in gold....
That can't be the camera's/user's fault can it?
-
03-25-2005, 07:42 PM #812
I hope it's not the camera's fault. If so then buy a different camera.

lol you have the best camera ....
Well comparing your racquet cover and this....
So obviously this one is a fake
But chickenpoodle said some people put real racquets into a fake cover and sell it...
Why lol?
I saw a really fake racquet cover in school the other day, I automatically assumed that was fake... But now reading your post, I might reconsider...

well, my comments weren't directed at any one particular example.
this case, the one with the reversed colors is obviously wrong, but as a general rule, i would pay attention to the racquet, and not the bag, in making decisions regarding a fake.
the fake bag is just one extra aspect, but is totally non-relevent to the racquet, unless, of course, you place an emphasis on wanting a real bag.
to me, a bag is a bag. as long as it can hold stuff, its good enough
the photo with the mp100 that was just posted, is an example of a decent photograph.
if i wanted to, i can easily take the same photo, with the carpet in focus, the racquet and bag out of focus, and have the words on the bag all washed out, and have the details on the racquet blurred and washed out.

Good thinking from chickenpoodle

Judging whether a racket is fake or real from picture posted at eBay is also a very risky business.
Nowadays, the faker rackets manufacturers are getting very clever and I think to judge authentic racket, we should consider all factors together:
1) Legitimate serial no and date code;
2) Thorough examination physically (meaning to buy from shop) on all aspect of a racket and compare with its specification.
3) Authentic bag?
4) Reliable eBay sellers?Last edited by leehsim; 03-25-2005 at 08:50 PM.

Picture means nothing sometimes...
And ONE thing we shall always remember...The seller can post a real picture then send a FAKE one to you
