that would be fake-representation, and is thus, illegal on ebay.
you can file a complaint, and get your money back, even without sending the fake back to the seller.

but don't intend on pulling this stunt too often, or else your credit card company/ebay/bank will get real pissed.

and, no, its not illegal to sell fake racquets, since things are only illegal when people make it out to be. as long as yonex is not spending an effort to get rid of these fakes, then theres nothing people can do about it.
THEORETICALLY, its illegal, but not to the point that drugs and such might be.

and no, it totally legal, ebay-wise, to post and advertise a fake racquet. you are merely selling exactly what you are describing of. no reason to be illegal.

Do you have to give the fake racquet to ebay or anything? If not... That's a pretty awesome deal. To have a fake racquet without paying any money ;P

    Normally, there are 4 cases:

    1. The description and pictures showed fake, and you received a fake one.
    Typical situation.

    2. The description and pictures showed fake, and you received a real one.
    Unlikely to happen

    3. The description and pictures showed real, and you received a real one.
    No problem.

    4. The description and pictures showed real, and you received a fake.
Problematic; it's hard to prove it unless you open the box in post office with pictures taken there. It will require you to spend lots of time and wait for several months to get things straight.

    no, not to ebay.
    but it depends.
if the complaint goes through, you get your money back, and you keep the racquet, if the seller doesnt' demand for the racquet back.
if they do, you gotta send it back.
chances are, the seller won't bother, rather biting the bullet and taking the loss than to make matters worse.

    How bout fake strings?

    http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...144164706&rd=1

How do you tell if strings are fake just by looking at the packages?

Btw, in the bottom left corner of the package, it says SP or CH.....

Does that mean they're fake? Or just sold in different countries?

Well, first off, kwong_kwong sells authenic items.

Most string packages come with SP, CH or blank at the bottom left corner. Just the country code.

It's kind of hard to tell if the strings are fake by pictures. But the packaging should be poorer in terms of color and text. Sometimes, the strings don't even have that particular color that the seller is advertising.

I see. if these are real strings, then it's really a great deal.
When you buy strings off ebay or something, do they give you the color as the ones in pic? Or they give you random stuff?

They should state what color it is, if you're unsure, ask.

    fake.

buyers need to understand that you cannot buy a genuine AT700 for US$40. when a deal is too good to be true, it is.

Well he lives in hong kong. So he might have gotte those racquets cheaper than the price he's selling for. Maybe that's why he's selling it that cheap, so he can get rid of it quicker.

But his MP99 is too fake to be true

not a chance. MP99 retails for US$100 in HK. if you tell me the retailers can make US$60 on the racket alone from a cost of US$40. i will quit my job now and go sell rackets.

He is selling at the price which is lower than dealer's invoice.
In other words, he will lose money per transaction if those are genuine products.

So, there is no way his stuff is real.

I see.... But how bout these right here?

    http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...144164706&rd=1

I've added everything up. around $40 US for 10 packs of BG85.
Which is around $64, or less. Adding the shipping.... $8US which is around $12CA, or less. Adding both of them up would be $76.8 Canadian.

1 pack of BG85 in canada is around $16
According to that auction, 10 pack of BG85 would be $76.8

If I take that number and divide it by 10, it'll be $7.68 per pack.
    16 - 7.68 = $8.32

Isn't that guy losing money per transaction too? Or.... Are strings actually that cheap....

Let's just say strings in hong kong are pretty cheap. You can't compare canadian priced strings with hong kong price strings. Two different economy.
