Of the SP rackets I have seen they have SP written on the shaft (as well as engraved on the codes) CH rackets also have this.

I think it is to do with the fact that SP, CH are big markets for Yonex, so they print them like that. (also some (all?) have PBSI logo on too)

All other codes (UK, GR, DK, etc..etc..) are only coded on the codes. This may be because they are of different quality and so different spec/place of manufacture, but lets not go into that!!

I may be stating the obvious but, there are also genuine SP rackets with only SP laser engraved on the cone. These are genuine Singapore rackets.

my take after readin those two posts is that regardless of the country code, the "SP" paint on the shaft signifies racquets for distribution within the "South Pacific" region. i'd like to ask what the motivation on this is? does not the distribution code provide enough data to distinguish the intended area of distribution of the racquet? besides, countries bordering the South Pacific ocean are the east coast of Australia (inc NZ) and South America. yet every thread espouses that racquets with distribution codes of SE Asian countries have "SP" printed on the shaft.

can anyone explain this to me?

99% sure they are fake or you are not going to get a racquet at all. All of the pictures are jsut download and past. If you transfer the money, bye bye your money and he can steal your account number too...

awesome, now which to buy i've been using a mp 33, so i'm more used to mp series, but i've read reviews here that says mp 100 is fragile, and hard to use, heavy, etc. As for the AT 700, i have tried it with 68ti strings at 23, when smashing i felt vibrations through out my arm, but great speed and control, maybe it's just me . i'm definately an attack player, but i'm having a hard time choosing.. red and powerful or quick and precise.

Keizuna, I'm no expert but can tell you the MP100 is a very powerful racket *if* you can flex the shaft. Also, you have to be more precise, the sweetspot is not as generous.

I have an MP100 but decided to switch to the MP99 because I play mostly doubles and feel the MP99 is more balanced, with a larger sweetspot.

But if you play singles, for power, can hit the sweet spot consistently and flex that shaft, the MP100 is hard to beat. You will be bombing your opponent.
