Hi, Just wondering what people found were a good string with this raquet? Iv just got it and i was thinking maybe nanology 98 or bg80 power? I want power and currently use a bravesword LYD with nanology 98 @ 25lbs which i get pretty good power. But i want all out power with some hint of durability. Cheers
Mine had BG80P on it until recently, it was a good mix. BG80 is awesome too and I have Victor VS850 coming to use next.
Thanks for the reply! Good to hear the 80 power is well suited to it as i have the string in orange Have u any experience with the ng98?
I will have to purchase some VS850 - where the best place shipment to the UK? In the meantime im still undecided between ng98 and bg80P
It's tricky to get hold of here; I'd email Ben at Victor UK (info@victor-sport.co.uk) and ask about vendors. Or you can just do what I do and get it by the mile from mybadmintonstore.
It's just me - I'd rather wait than pay. You should never be in the position of needing string now!, for me.
Yeah its is on the expensive side but nice to know i can get it Yeah i liked the ng98 at around 27 too but i was just getting through too much string so had to drop it a lb or two. Maybe i should do my 2 LYDs - one in ng98 and the other in 80p and test?
ZM62. BG66UM. R4X momone. Yeah I am a big thin gauge fan. But those are worth a try. All strings mentioned have nice control, high repulsion and amazing sound
I have done it! I finally decided to do it in NG98 and then i can directly compare the JJS with the LYD.Also as MarkA agreed i have strung my other LYD in BG80P so i can then compare the string directly against each other on the same racquet. This then will help once i snap the JJS string for the next restring. Thanks for all the suggestions for string, i think i will be getting a few packs in and over time do a lot of testing
I have two JJSs one with VS850 and the other with NBG99 at the same tension. I personally prefer the NBG99. One of the best tension holding strings Yonex do and the best all-rounder imo. It doesn't quite have the feel of fresh VS850 but it does have very good power, control, tension hold and decent durability to make up for it.
