I'm afraid Han Li's fitness is suspect against Akane , particularly obvious in G3, where she was leading 14-7, 18-11, and 20-14 before allowing her opponent to force deuce, and only managed to scrape through 23-21 in the end.

I agree, Akane is a player to watch; she should go far;let the future tell.

Btw, I doubt Han Li can deal with Intanon tomorrow.

sometimes the last point is the hardest to score... i'm sure that many of us have encountered this ) Also remember Li Xuerui against Intanon in WC, first game was 19-12 up and ended up losing 20-22.
Yamaguchi is a great player no doubt. Seems kind of a robot though, so no empathy from me )

It's a huge pity. Yamaguchi saved nearly 6 match points just to lose to the opponent. She is like running machine. Her game is similar to that of He Binjiao of china.

Quite true, sometimes the final gamepoint/matchpoint can prove elusive - it's as if after you've made a 'superhuman' effort to reach there, you immediately and naturally want to reward yourself with a well-deserved breather, take your foot off the pedal and somehow expect your opponent to hand it to you on a platter; and that's when the trouble starts because once you come down from a high, it takes you a while and some renewed effort to charge back up again. During this time, as long as your opponent doesn't make any mistakes or, better still, he can dig his heels in and pursue you relentlessly, then you're likely to be the one to 'reward' him accordingly and,to rub it in, you can't help but do so willy-nilly as if spellbound.

Normally, I'm not too excited by WJC, AJC or any promising junior players - I'd give them another two to three years to prove themselves at the adult level, there's hardly any exception. Even the famous child prodigy,Intanon R, has to take about 3/4 years in the adult international circuit to make a mark for herself winning a maiden title.

The 1st ranked WD pair: YY/WXL walked over yesterday. Is something a matter or it is simply the instruction from the top as usual so BYX/TJH, MJ/Yuanting Tang, Ying Luo/Yu Luo twin can win this thing and score big points to jump up in ranking.

Incredible..at 1-1 in G2 of Endo/Hayakawa vs LYD/YYS, a clear landed almost 1 foot out and was called in. Hayakawa immediately challenged, and the video showed the shuttle landed about 1 foot out and won the point.

How on earth was that shot called in?

In some tournaments they give allowance of +-10%.
