i've noticed my elbow area aches after either too much smashing or too many side-armed drives...is this poor technique, or just normal? warming up doesn't ease the pain, but using am elbow pad/brace does the trick normally

Is it directly after the game or the next day??? If it's the next day, it means that u don't cool down nor stretch after the game.

actually it usually hurts either immediately after the game or even during the game...the elbow brace seems to work very fast thought, i can use it for maybe 15 mins and the pain eases, but the brace feels uncomfortable when playing

Well, I'm not sure if i am right or not but since you said your elbow hurts i assume it might me tennis elbow which results from bad technique.

His arm probably doesn't hurt anymore, since the thread was started in 04-20-2001, 5 years ago...
