TV court matches (court 1) : 01) Sung Ji Hyun (KOR) v Ratchanok Intanon (THA) 02) Boonsak Ponsana (THA) v Chen Long (CHN) 03) Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei (CHN) v Chan Yun Lung/Tse Ying Suet (HKG) 04) Lee Chong Wei (MAS) v Kenichi Tago (JPN) 05) Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen (DEN) v Hiroyuki Endo/Kenichi Hayakawa (JPN) CHN dominates XD category, 3 of 4 semifinal slots, big possible all CHN final. Both singles divisions are going to the script, let's see whether top seed will meet second seed in Sunday's final INA has only one representative in last four, Polii/Maheswari who will get tough opponent, another CHN combo Bao YX/Tang JH. Two unseeded MD pairs will chase final ticket, interesting to wait while top-half of the draw first seed Boe/Mogensen is fave to win here. Two Wangs, hard to predict who will progress, rubber or straight sets? Possibly straight-sets to save energy for last round
Only the WS is according to seeding. The Wangs' match is the 2nd and CHN have the luxury to put which one in the final.
Yes,but I want to know which Wang will win tomorrow. Maybe depend on the winner of match btw SJH vs Ratchanok.
Chris /Andrew upset Qiu Zihan & Liu Wenlong. Can they upset Fu haifeng and wei hong tomorrow?. Lee Yong dae and Yeon lost unexpected.
They can. I think trying a flat game would be a good tactic. No secret Fu/ Hong both have bullet smashes. If they win this it will be a great chance of an SS title. They have beaten the Danes before at the European Team Championships. Hope the occasion doesn't get the better of them.
I prefer Wang Yihan winning the Wang's SF. Between Intanon and Sung, I choose Intanon to go to final game. I want to see the former world championship final.
WSX or WYH ? No difference, either one can beat either IR or SJH. Besides, this SS tournament isn't that important that CHN must win it. In other words,I believe, they will be left to their own devices and come to grips with whoever is their final opponent, to learn and gain more experience, of course with guidance from Chen Jin. A true world champion or No.1 must be able to handle anybody at all times and certainly be without any nemesis, i.e. be like Lin Dan and not Lee CW. For me, if I've to choose, I'd prefer WSX vs IR or WYH vs SJH, because their similarities in style will bring out the best in them as each tries to outplay/outwit the other, but,on the other hand, opposing styles such as WSX vs SJH and WYH vs IR should be very interesting too and exciting as well as each tries to grapple with the other. On record, in the last couple of months, WSX has played and beaten IR twice (not counting the two the occasions in the CBSL) and SJH once while WYH has beaten IR once and SJH once. So, for entertainment value, perhaps a WYH vs IR or WSX vs SJH final may be slightly preferable, just saying. Anyway, just look at WSX vs TTY, they have played each other three times within a month and every of those encounter was enjoyable to watch, to me at least.
Didn't SJH beat WSX the last 2 times they met? If IR wins, both WYH and WSX have very good H2H records against her. Should not be any issues. If SJH wins, it will be a tough decision. She also gave WYH a tough time even she lost to WYH the last few time.
Arggh Greys/Nitya vs Bao/Tang again Hopefully they can win this time... They did well as expected to beat Ma/Tang yesterday... They need more luck today
Wow, really ?? I fancy the chances of Greys/Nitya vs them rather than WXL/YY... Skill wise and physically they are match each other... Greysia and Nitya need more focus and well just like I said before....luck
That's before the return of the real or new WSX. You forgot last month's SSF where WSX convincingly bested SJH ?! We shall see.
Usually, KOR players thrive on home ground but I'm not so sure about Sung JH who may feel the extra pressure instead of a boost in confidence. We'll know the answer soon.
