Racquet Reps - Demo Nite Calling all Racquet Reps! Please advise if you are interested in demo-ing your warz during the Collingwood Open House 2004. Additionally, please PM me re any door prizes you would like to provide. Thanks!
I noticed Badminton players tend to register last-minute. So as of right now, I have a few players going, but I expect a major flood as the dates get closer. Cheers!
Re: Racquet Reps - Demo Nite I think I might be able to come out again for this, but the players will have to try the Domino racquets out if it is a demo night instead of just looking. I can come up with a few freebies again if people actually try the racquets. Have to make my trip worthwhile coming from the Island!!! Please e-mail me as I don't check the forum too often.
Alright panhandle ... I'll give it a demo I'll commit to two games to try two different rackets. -dave
Break-My-Strings, How many people are you taking in that day max? Just curious to what the wait times will be between games during the open play. Thanks
There are some people who mentioned they may play only the first part, and will skip the tourny because they have other commitments. I'm guestimating the wait time should be around 15minutes, any faster of a rotation, people will have no more energy left for the tourny.
Food After The Open House The odds are, after the Open House, we will be going out for food! If you have any suggestions, please post it here! example: Japanese : All-You-Can-Eat East Indian : All-You-Can-Eat Chinese : preset menu Cheers!
Hey BMS, so basically $11 for the 6 hours of badminton plus the clone BF T-shirts? Are there any prizes for the winners of the tourney?
Hi SmashingBird, It is $11 if you register by March 21, otherwise it is $13 afterwards. The fee will cover feather shuttles and allows your name to be drawn at random for door prizes (just like my Xmas 2003 session). I am hoping to get a few more Racquet Reps to allow players to demo their warez and supply some additional door prizes. The fee does not include the clone-Ts, and pending when the artwork is finished, I may or may not have the clone-Ts ready, either as door prizes or for sale at the event. Yes, there will be prizes for the winners of the tourny. Cheers!
Sounds cool... BMS, where and when do I register? Do I have to make a trip to Collingwood during one of your public drop-in sessions?
All you need to do is PM me with 1) Your real full name 2) Home or Cell number 3) How you are paying, cash or cheques (I will then reply with the details) (credit cards & body parts are not accepted, BUT brand new badminton raquets will be accepted but do not expect any "change back" in the form of a used racquet) 4) Then goto Collingwood (anytime) to submit your fees to complete the registration. As a suggestion, if you know a few players who want to join, have one person to submit all your fees. Remember... register by March 21st, the fee is $11, otherwise $13 afterwards. Cheers!
As a suggestion for Racquet Reps... For every player who decides to try-out one of your racquets, you should get them to do a quick survey. After it is complete, they could get a small simple gift like one over-grip, or they could get their name in a special prize draw (seperate from the Open House) for a chance to win a bigger prize! (wink wink knudge knudge) Something in a shape of a huge lolli-pop and has lots of little squares running through the circle thingee part. Sample survey: 1) What is your level of play (intermediate / advance) 2) What is your prefered racq (1=very poor 5=neutral 9=very good) 3) Specify the racq #1 you tried out 4) Rate the demo racq for "power" 5) Rate the demo racq for "control , etc etc Maybe this type of info will give you & your manufacturers some feedback. Cheers!
I will know if I can come after March 9, if my high school team makes it to provincials April 1-3 in Coquitlam, then I can stay the extra day.
Not to hijack the thread or anything, but panhandle, can you post (or start a new thread) detailing where I can view the provincials? Dates, times, venues? Thanks. -dave
High School Provincials My info says it's in Coquitlam April 1-3 at Charles Best Secondary. You can confirm by visiting badmintonbc.com or calling them.
The deadline for early registration is coming up, March 21st! Register early and pay only $11, otherwise you'll have to pay $13 afterwards. Cheers!
My team didn't make it to provincials...have to think if it's worthwhile for me to come to the mainland.
