Or full pockets. It doesn't matter, does it?

I've got a few training fellas competing internationally, getting nominated to junior world championships and a lot of them prefer 4U over 3U.

Go with what is comfortable and yields the best results. I would play with a pink 8U hello kitty racket if it feels good and helps me to win games.

I think you should go with 4U. Only people lacking in the trouser department use 3U.

Aww Cobalt, don't get all sensitive on us! Let me throw a little experiment out there rather than get all technical. Get some tape, and use it to smooth out the parts of your existing racket that Yonex claims makes the ZF2 'aerodynamic'. Report back your findings.

    Go!

Maklike, you have a good point about aerodynamics. But there are better ways to say what you said 3 posts ago.

Re aerodynamics, the Revelation is a good case in point. Even with totally exposed grommets and string on the outside of the frame, it cuts thru the air surprisingly well, because of a thinner cross section with a smaller frontal surface area. In the end, it's the total frontal area that is important in aerodynamics. Any little way to reduce it will help a little bit, whether from recessed grommets or thinner cross section or smaller head frame.

These professional players have options while most recreational players don't.

Mike, with all due respect, you're not the only competent designer posting on these forums. And I get that you're in the process of designing your own rackets, but try to show a little more tact and a little less arrogance when dealing with such topics.

I never said you were wrong or that I was right, I was merely posing a question as to why you thought the grommet design on the sides didn't leave the strings flush with, or inside the frame, when in the pics we've seen, and based off of Yonex's own design commentary, they imply otherwise. A simple explanation would have been nice, instead of the condescending superiority complex. That way we all benefit from the insight.

    Your original post.

Couple that with this excerpt from Yonex.

And this image that was posted, which to my eye at least, looks like the strings and grommets, at least on the sides, do appear to potentially "disappear in to the frame" as you put it.

If you disagree, just politely explain why. No need to be so obtuse about it.

As someone who owns and runs multiple businesses of my own, I honestly think that communication etiquette when acknowledging members of the forum, your target audience, and potential future buyers, is absolutely just as important as the product itself, or so called knowledge in the field.
