Currently playing with Yonex Nanospeed 8000. (Best thing since sliced Bread) I have been contemplating some new rackets for a while but really unsure what to go for. I play at lot of doubles but really singles is my game of choice. I would be very appreciative if i could have some opinions. Thanks Iain
Try out even balance, head heavy rackets, as well as head lights and see which ones you prefer. From that you can be more specific on what type of badminton racket you are looking for
If you are looking at experimenting, and not sure which way to go: Beginner: Arcsaber 002 Intermediate: Arcsaber 7 Then you can learn which way you'd like to go: Head lighter or head heavier.
If you don't mind losing maneuverability (because singles is your game of choice), then you might want to try the VZF. Alternatively, you can always turn to a different nanospeed like NS9900.
Considering that Iain is using a head light racket (nanospeed), if he jumps to a really head heavy racket (VZF) it will feel really weird. I recommend going with an arcsaber (even balance) and then progress to a voltric or muscle power
I don't have much experience with NS8000 but he said his current rackets are head heavy. I don't know if that includes NS8000. I personally would never go to VZF, with my mostly <285mm bp rackets I agree! although switching to arcsaber sacrifices a little repulsion.
