Those are all good thin strings.... just start with a few small packs first... no need for a reel until you've settled on your favourite.

If that's the only Zymax string you'll ever try, then you'll completely missed out on the Zymax line.

I agree. visor was the evil demon which made me addicted to Zymax 62.

Exactly. I started with two packs of ZM62 2nd gen yellow...I have already killed two reels and currently have one reel for each color.

    And that's one expensive habit.

I think i may have to give these gosen's a try based on everyone's opinions. I use Ashaway Zymax 65s at 25 x 27.5lbs on my rackets.

I still have a reel of the version 1 zymax 62 with maybe ~10 string jobs left. I didn't like it for the durability. Yes it played well and i liked it but not enough to string my own rackets frequently. It normally wouldn't survive past one session (3 hours) and the max i had was after 3 sessions in one week.

I know this isn't the buy/sell forum, but maybe we could discuss an arrangement where I could buy some of that off of you :P although I don't know how shipping would go.

In any case, I still expect Zymax 67 to live up to the Zymax name! mybadmintonstore ran out of 65 reels anyway

I am testing this string next week. I am an official tester for Ashaway string and I consider there is going to be a fantastic development in their range very soon from what I've tested.

    What great insight!
On the original note, do we have any information about how long Gosen R4x110 lasts before breaking?
I'm not in the habit of cutting strings before they break.

Comparable to bg80. May be able to last longer IMO.

Yep, I agree, and holds tension for longer.

It really nose-dives during the first few hours, but it levels off very quickly and ends up staying tighter for longer, I think.

Strung up my test racket with this string today.

Got to say it strings well. And yes, it's a hard string and feels very similar to BG80. Bear in mind Gosen strings are not made in the same factory as Yonex but I'm sure they understand the technology within the string.

I'll be coaching over the next few days and will report again soon.

If you can, please comment on the durability. A confirmation of how good this string is would make me very interested. I have feared BG80 because people say that it shrieks when strung.
