Hi! So I'm not sure sure which racket to get. I've been using armortec 900 technique, but thought I'd switch and try out another racket. The Voltric Z force sounds appealing to me because of the increased smash power.
I'm a female player, and I plan to play either mixed doubles or girls doubles for high school varsity.
I heard Victor bravesword 12 was so pretty good. I'm not sure if the racket i'm using right now is head heavy or not. I've used arcsaber before, but I haven't used one in a long time. I made a transition from arcsaber to armortec. Not sure if that helps at all. I'm mainly an offensive player. Thank you!

Nononono racquets do not help with smash power all the time , just because you """heard""" higher smash power doesn't mean it will give you it. A z force is rated extra stiff and extremely head heavy if you have good technique and a strong wrist go for it by all means. Get a 4U since you play doubles. I suggest you demo first.

Well, my best stroke is probably my smash. I really want to increase it. I tried the voltric 70 before and my clears felt a lot easier than before. How about the victor bravesword 12?

Okay voltric 70 is rated medium stiff So I suggest not going for the z force, haven't tried a bs 12 sorry , why not get a voltric 70 then?

Would you recommend the Voltric 80 or 70?

Hmmm leaning more towards the 70 more it's a bit more flexier but are you doing okay with the armortec 900 technique? Can you still generate decent power? If so go for the voltric 80.

My armortec is strung at 26 pounds and I do pretty good with it.

Sorry, get the same weight as well so 4U of course if you get a 3U there's going to be a tad more power since it's more heavier but harder to move around. Since it's doubles.

    ...on the other hand,
if u could lay ur hand on Victor TK-6ooo 4u, test it out. It's comparable to VT70 n felt to me more stable n swings faster.

+1. some of those victors are comparable to top yonexes, some in here swear they even get a much better feel.
to check whether your racket feels the right amount of head heavy for you or not, try a different racket than you're used to (try a head lighter or a much heavier one and see if you yourself can identify your strengths or defects/mitakes with it), play with it for a couple days and then switch back to yours. if you think you can still handle yours pretty easily, i don't think you need to switch/change, afterall. :)

at900t is a very good racket and i have seen many female players play well with them. both armotec and voltric series are head heavy, so it is great for offensive players like yourself. if you are using 4u, i think both rackets will be fast enough for you and there might not be a need to switch.

what is it that you're unhappy about your rackets that made you think about switching to another racket?

You already have one of the better rackets in the market. So I am also asking the same question as gundamzaku, why change when what u have is already an excellent one? Rackets is only 5% of the game, the rest is up to how well u play and how fit u are. I already tried more than 30 rackets within last 5 yrs n they are not that much difference. Heavier n stiffer rackets are more powerful but harder to manouver. AT900T is pretty much all around, a bit on the powerful side.

Actually, there is no way of drastically increasing your smash by means of rackets.
    You want power? Strength training.
You want agility and speed? Footwork.
You want angled shots? Proper Strokes.

Back to the situation i think a Nanoray 750 will do just fine to you. It is even balanced (leaning more towards Head-Light) so it will be an effective doubles racket.

Bravesword 12 is an even balanced racket. Can be used both for singles and doubles.

I don't know why you are suggesting heavy Voltrics to a girl for doubles use :(

Why head heavy? Because she's already using a head heavy racket...
