(I can guess who might answer this...) I've got a 88/297 XP70 and eyeing up the rev to put on my wish list. How do they compare? Every time I think the XP70 is doing well for power the MX60 trumps it, but the XP70 has the edge on speed/defense. I suppose MX for singles/aggressive doubles, XP for doubles. If it replaces either of these I may well consider selling to upgrade. I love me some smash power but the MX is at the limit for defense.

BS10 will be here tomorrow... So I have enough racquets but no harm in knowing which to buy next, and that amount of woven carbon is calling to me. Puts the MX to shame!

I've read enough of the panda power thread to know the rev is on my radar, but probably not far enough back for enough detail to decide for myself. And who doesn't like discussing racquets anyway?

    Cheers

After I spared you another PM too, the cheek of it!

Take your time, suspense would be worse if this is my ideal racquet as availability may be an issue :)

Actually if I can sort out the slightly dull feeling of the Jetspeed 8PS, I would highly recommend it along with the Rev. I'll see over the next wk or so. You can check out my review in the Jetspeed thread. :)

I've seen it. Comprehensive as it is, I'm not tempted by a JS. I've got a BS10 on its way to me later today so that and the XP70 have speed covered. Not that the rev is slow..?

    Swap you 2 packs of zm62, 1 NS880zti and a 5/10 8dx strung at 28lb for your xp70 :)

If you put asterisks in, you can probably get away with anything...

Lol... actually you can type anything rude you want, it'll just end up as asterisks. :)

But db has a good point, the XP70 is such a good deal that by the time you've paid for 5 string jobs on it, you start to feel kinda guilty. :D

I remember paying for string jobs :)
Last one I did because the wife suggested it to keep me quiet so she could watch TV.

I'm currently choosing string for 4th job on xp70 but the damn (stupid orange) bg80p won't break. BS10 just arrived so maybe it won't make it to 4. I'd sell both right now for a rev of the right spec I reckon.

Yah, choosing the right specs for any racket is just as important as the right model racket.

My Rev is 85.8g, 295mm, with head wt 37.7g. Hits quite hard. Tad flexier than JJS and faster thru the air. Same stiffness as XP70 but slightly more demanding due to higher head wt.

XP70 is gone. I didn't like the short handle, short shaft, long head setup. BS10 is awesome! Awaiting to hear specs of a certain rev as I reckon I could handle a few grams lighter. I hear they are on the light side.

Most likely will stock up on BS10 though. Rescuing a couple that are being neglected ;P

IIRC similar spec XP70 and BS10 are equally as fast. Is the rev in the same league or more like meteor, fast but not quite breaking the laws of physics fast?

For me the laws of physics are merely a suggestion

I have a rev and I think it's very fast compared to a similar meteor mx60.

    My rev: 84.2g 297mm
    Bro's Mx60: ~84-85g, ~300mm

My rev is noticeably faster than my brother's mx 60 on all aspects and I feel it is more powerful as well.
