Hi guys and gals, I keep getting a hole on the instep of my non racket foot as a result of dragging said foot! It ruins shoes so quickly! I am working on altering my technique, but I just wanted to know if this is a common problem and if so are there any shoes that have thicker leather to avoid this happening so quick?! Thanks!
Do you play on wood courts, synthetic court or cement courts? I play on wood and synthetic and I haven't noticed any hole on my shows but some paint being chipped off at places...
The exact same thing happens to me! I'm so glad someone else has the issue to because I always thought I was a one off. Annoyingly i've never been able to pinpoint when it is I drag my foot. Heres two pairs I still use http://m.imgur.com/8pPRvNZ And for reference the other foot :crying: http://imgur.com/dg4uvj0
Unfortunately this problem is unavoidable... my solution is to find to find someone who wears the same shoes and size, but plays left handed, so that I can buy the good side from him.
Most likely it's just from lunging in the front court. I always did it as a balance thing, is there really a better way to lunge deeply without dragging your foot?
